November was a crazy month. It started off with a challenge from our Bishop to not watch TV, or get on the Internet(except for family and business) for the whole month. That is why I have not posted for awhile. When the Bishop issued the challenge, Jake looked at me and said, "We are moving back in with your parents!" Needless to say we did not move back in with my parents, but we did make a few exceptions as far as the TV was concerned and watched the BYU football games. Go Cougars! As some of you know I watch the Barefoot Contessa religiously everyday and I am happy to report I did not watch the Food Network for a whole month. I did however, TIVO all of her episodes so I have a lot of catching up to do!
Other events that transpired this month are and in no particular order...
1.Morgan turned 18 months and you mom's know what that means...Nursery! Yep Jake and I are now able to attend Sunday school and R.S/Priesthood without a bratty boy. We could not be happier. I was known in the ward as the girl who walks the halls...well NOT ANYMORE!
2.Our beloved Camry needed a new transmission, so we sold it and bought a new car! (a Nissan Rogue) After a couple of sleepless nights and working through the nausea we are now happy to have the new addition to our family...we are not however excited about the monthly car payments!
3.We got tickets (thanks to our friends Mike and Maren) to the BYU vs Utah game. We were 4 rows from the field in the north end zone and got to see a lot of action. We even rushed the field after they won! The real kicker was we got to fly up to the game in a private plane. It was so nice to skip all of the security and just walk on! Morgan loved the ride and had a smile on his face the whole way...in between throwing his fruit snacks and crackers.
4.Jake turned 26 on the 29th of November. He handled it a lot better than I thought he would. He usually freaks out each year he gets older, but not this year...I guess he is maturing with his age! I made him a Barefoot Contessa dinner that made me fall in love all over again with Bearnaise Sauce! If you have never tried this sauce before than you really are missing out!
5.Basketball season started this month so we now have a life again. After football season ended Jake and I didn't know how to fill our Friday nights, but now we have games twice a week! Does it get any better I ask you? (Yes I am actually referring to high school sports)
6.Oh and I almost forgot...Thanksgiving! We went to St.George for Thanksgiving and stayed for a couple of days. Morgan had a ton of fun playing with his cousin. The two boys fell asleep right before dinner so we actually had a very quite, pleasant Thanksgiving dinner. The girls tried to do some shopping on Friday, but the lines were so long that we gave up and just went to Costco.

I am really proud of you and your no TV challenge. Private planes are totally the way to go. NO hassle at all, and they leave on YOUR time. I'm glad you could score a ride in style! Thanks for the fun updates on you and the fam!!
