Happy Birthday Dad, Matthew and Susie

September 26th and the 27th are a busy time in our house. My Dad and Jake's Mom have the same birthday Sept. 26th, and my brother Matthew turns 18 today! Each of these people have played such a major role in my life and I wanted to share with you why I love them so much!My dad is my hero and I have always had a soft spot in my heart for him. I honestly cannot talk about him without crying! He always puts his family first...never have I felt that his work, church callings, or his hobbies have come before me. Whenever I was away from home(girls camp, college, Romania, etc.) he would always write me letters at least once a week. I remember when we were little and my sisters and mom would go to Utah, my dad would write us a letter and tell us how much he missed us. He usually would include 3 pieces of gum in his letter for us. My dad is patient, kind, understanding, loving, devoted to the gospel, very involved in our lives, and one amazing man! First of all I cannot believe that my little brother is 18 years old! Where did all of the time go? In one year he will be off to college, and then it will be time for his mission. Not only is Matthew good at sports, but he has a strong testimony of the gospel, strives to do what is right, and really is an example to those around him. He is so tender hearted and I have loved watching him grow over the past 18 years.
I really lucked out in the mother-in-law department. Susie is one of the kindest people I know. This woman does not have a mean bone in her body! Susie is so talented and each time we go and visit them I try to learn something from her. She is always up for an adventure and loves the outdoors. Susie loves her family and cannot get enough of her grand babies...she is even more excited that more are on the way! I am so grateful to Susie and Ron for raising such an amazing son...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Sorry, one more thing... I just had to say, I love your blog music. A lot of the songs bring back great memories. Driving to LDSBC in the red car singing together with my violin in hand. :)
