A couple of years ago my Aunt got this wild hair and started writing a children's book. Her sister-in-law helped her with the story line and editing. This is one of three books in the series called "Believe and You're There". I read the book when it was on yellow notebook paper, it was so cute and I actually learned a lot! It has been so fun to watch the whole process take place. Here is a summary of the book and 2 reviews. If you have nieces and/or nephews, ages 7-12, this would be a great gift! Enjoy!Katie, Matthew, and Peter always knew there was something special about Grandma. Then one day they find themselves whisked right into one of her paintings - and are magically transported to ancient Palestine! Alone in a strange land, they must face Roman soldiers, angry Pharisees, and a charging wild boar. And then, to their wonder, they witness the heavens open as John baptizes Jesus.
“This series is a powerful tool for helping children learn to liken the scriptures to themselves. Helping children experience the scriptural stories from their point-of-view is genius.”—ED AND PATRICIA PINEGAREd Pinegar is the bestselling author of Raising the Bar.
“As grandparents of 50 grandchildren, we heartily endorse the Believe . . . and You’re There series. Parents and grandparents, gather your children around you and discover the scriptures again as they come alive in the Believe . . . and You’re There series.”— STEPHEN AND SANDRA COVEYStephen Covey is the bestselling author of 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

That is so amazing--I can't wait to read them! Good job Allison! I want to see her wild hair. I think it's so cool when people discover talents that they can do from home.
