Yesterday Morgan woke up and said he needed to throw up. He tried twice and started to cry. I went to work and when I got home Morgan said, "See I'm not sick anymore!" So we packed it up and went to the Library for active story time with Kinsey and Grayson...I wish someone would have told me to bring a water bottle and some depends(parent involvement is strongly recommend) and no one told me the effects jumping would have on my body after having 2 kids!
Later that night Morgan coughs a few times and I just know that seal bark means croup. I give him some medicine and off to bed we go. Jane woke up first so Jake went to take care of her, then it was Morgan's turn....I felt his head and he was burning up. 104.2 degrees to be exact. I still don't know if that thermometer is correct, because I have never seen it get that high! He throws up twice and it looks like there is a little blood mixed in there. I give more medicine to Morgan and he gets a father's blessing. I say a prayer of gratitude before I fall asleep because I know everything will be alright. He wakes up a couple more times and I can hear what a hard time he is having trying to breath.
We go to the doctor at 11:30am and as she walks into the room she says, "Oh he has strep." She points to the rash all over his body that I didn't even notice and his face is so flushed his eyes are even blood shot. After a quick look over she also informs me that he has croup...great! She does the step test just to make sure it is positive and right after the nurse leaves he throws-up into my hands! 2 minutes later the Doctor pops into the room to confirm the test is positive. So 1 shot, and 3 prescriptions later we are on the road to recovery! 24 hours and he will not be contagious anymore...Good thing to, cause I have an exciting trip to San Diego this weekend I don't want to miss it! Morgan hardly ever gets sick, but when he does he goes big!

I'm sorry Kath! Sick kids are no fun for parents! I hope Jane doesn't get it! Who are you going to San Diego with??
Oh poor baby. That is awful! And how does jumping/depends fit into the library story time??
ACTIVE story time...they play music so you stand up and dance and jump then you read a book...jump/dance some more and then read another book...ending with some more dancing.
I remember the day a little girl had a fever so high she has a seizure in her fathers arms, fell asleep on the toilet on her fathers shoulder and still made it for Christmas, BARELY!
Love you..
But I made it! I would never miss presents!
Oh, I hope he gets better SOOOON!
That boy does everything with style -- even getting sick! Poor baby! And poor you!
Did he get a shot or do you get to force yucky tasting antibiotics down his throat several times a day?
Noah is on his THIRD round of antibiotics for strep. It just won't go away. Ten days once, another ten days, and now we're on a fourteen day regimen. Ridiculous!
oh yucky. i hate when the kiddies are sick. its way worse than you being sick, seeing the little innocents all miserable. i hope you are able to stay healthy!
oh bummer. sick kids are the worst. draven got RSV when he was 3 months old so he is like totally prone to getting sick. one thing i hate about winter time. hope he fells better soon. and i was crackin up at the jumping comment. maybe ill buy you some panty liners for christmas. then we can be matchy matchy!!! :)
