This is the only picture I got of my kids in their costumes...Morgan would not put his costume on for pictures and Jane wouldn't put on the green collar. Truth be told this picture was taken a few months after Halloween...possibly December.

Halloween...
has come and gone. I didn't carve any pumpkins with my kids, nor did I take any pictures of them in their costumes. Maybe I will dress them up later this week when I have the energy. For the record Morgan was Iron Man (shocking), Jane was a pumpkin, I was a witch,(Wal-mart had the cutest purple and black hat for $9. I couldn't pass it up) and Jake was a Hawaiian Bum...literally he was in Hawaii for "work". We spent the evening with friends eating chili, cornbread, cider, doughnuts, and candy. It started to rain pretty hard around 6 p.m. and I was ready to pack it up and go home. Luckily the rain stopped and a good night was had by all. Morgan and Jane had a blast going from door to door collecting candy with their friends. Jane was very independent and walked pretty much the whole way dragging her bag of goodies behind her. If given the opportunity she would reach into a bowl of candy and grab as much as her little hands would allow, she did however say thank you to every person after she got her candy. That little effort on her part made people believe she had some manners. Now I am left with 2 bags of candy and whining children begging to eat it all day. Oh how I love Halloween.

I decided this year Halloween is way overrated. I was alone too with my kids and it was A LOT of work without a spouse to help out with all the nonsense. Now I know why my parents use to take us to Disneyland on Halloween. Maybe we should all start that tradition!
Good Idea...I am all in!
