Cookie Club

Requirements to become a member:

1. Say the names of the capital letters in random order without difficulty.
2. Say the names of the lower case letter in random order without difficulty.
3. Say the sound the letters make while looking at lowercase letters.  Remember that the vowels have 2 sounds. (short & long)
4. Read the indicataed number (20 or more) of the kindergarten sight words on the attached list. 
5. Read the indicated number (25 or more) of decodable words on the attached list.  These words can be sounded-out or blended.

When your child has passed off these requirements to Mrs. Whitaker, he will receive a cookie club member certificate and a large chocolate chip cookie!

Morgan has been working on passing these requirements off to us each day.  Apparently he felt he was ready and signed up to pass them off to his teacher today.  We didn't know that he would be doing it, and were really surprised to see him walking out of the class with his large cookie.
