We Made It!

Here we are writing to you all the way from Chengdu, China.  Blogs, facebook, and a few other web-sites are not allowed in China, but with VPN( A mere $85 a year) we are able to connect to a server in Seattle and bypass the Chinese. We have been here for a little over 2 weeks.  The kids had a rough patch for a week, but seem to finally be adjusting to life in Asia.  Jake is really enjoying his job, and I am so grateful my Mom came with me to help set up house. We have been to Ikea more times than I care to count, but our house is becoming a home.  I am still waiting for our landlord to come by and pick up some pieces of furniture so I can finish everything up...well at least for now.  I am sure I will be adding to with all of my great finds at the local markets.  I will post some before and after pictures of the apartment soon.

Here is the view from our apartment, one during the day, and the other at night.
We are on the 12th floor.  The best part is that Ikea, a Mall(with Zara, H&M, and Starbucks), and a grocery store are down the street and around the corner.

I have so much to write and pictures to upload, but for now know that we are here and life is good.  Different, but good.  I am so excited for this adventure, but there is no place like home!

Remember when we first got to Romania and stayed in that high rise hotel. We were all SOOOO hot that we took a picture of us sitting around in tank tops fanning ourselves.... haha. Miss the good times. Have fun with all the new adventures ;-)
